But the truth is this:

Hearing loss is the #1 modifiable risk factor for dementia.
Untreated hearing loss increases social isolation, depression, and fall risk.
Financial barriers prevent thousands of Nova Scotians from getting help.
Most people wait 7–10 years after noticing symptoms before seeking care.

This isn’t a small problem. This is a community problem.

And the only way to solve a community problem is together.

Hear In Nova Scotia exists to bring voices together — individuals, families, clinicians, employers, educators, and advocates — to build a province where hearing care is understood, accessible, and equitable.
